Last week, the 25th episode that got released on June 2nd, 2022, I did an intro to Social Security. And in that intro, I mentioned the 2022 annual Social Security

Trustees report should be out soon. Had I known, the report is going to get released on June

1:02.3

2nd, the day of the release of my podcast episode, I would have waited to release it and,

1:08.2

you know, revamped the content a little bit, but whatever. I guess it worked out well. So the second episode now, or I should say the second episode about

such annual report. It's quite a beast. It's

1:30.3

275 pages. You can find a link to the full report in the notes. You can download it in PDF form or there's

the comings and goings of monies.

1:55.8

So for anyone who's interested in learning more about social security, I highly, highly recommend

2:00.2

picking through

2:01.4

the trustees report. The first handful of pages are fairly straightforward, easy to understand

2:07.0

summary, and there's lots of tables and graphs, you know, stacked in the back, that that stuff's

2:12.2

kind of hard to digest unless you're the nerdiest of nerds. But seriously, you know, if you're not already well-versed

2:19.0

in Social Security, do yourself a favor and read through this reporter, at least read through

2:23.0

until you fall asleep. A lot of great information. You can get up to speed pretty quickly and

2:27.0

really get a good understanding how the system works instead of just listening to sound bites
