I made a new film. It's called Unstuck, The Five Steps to Change. It's a 20-minute film

about my journey and also the lessons that I've learned from some really amazing individuals

over the past few years. I graduated college with $97,000 in student loan debt in 2010 and did

the smartest thing I could think of at the time. I bought a brand new car. And so with about $117,000

in debt, living in my parents' basement, I'm pretty miserable. I'm not really happy with where

my life is going. But I took a few steps that put me in the right direction, that helped me on a

journey to get out of debt, to get some freedom. But not only that, to do meaningful work, to create

work that I was really passionate about and I really, really cared about. As a part of that journey,

I made a documentary called Minimalism with some really good friends and the journey of making

that documentary was so difficult and there were so many challenges throughout the entire process.

But I got to speak with some, and meet with some amazingly intelligent people who surprisingly

enough had been through a lot of the same struggles that I had been through. So there were a lot of

elements of these interviews that I didn't make its way into the film, but I thought it would still

be useful and helpful to people. So what I did was I made this film called Unstuck, where I use some

of the deleted interviews, the extended interviews that didn't make it into Minimalism, as well as

interweaving that with my story to tell a little bit about my background. So I think you guys
