Earlier in the season, I spent some time talking to Lee Roller,

who owns a company that sells custom tattoo designs as a middleman to people looking to get tattooed.

These things fascinate me because I always wonder how these ideas form

and who is responsible for putting in all the work that it takes to make them a real thing.

An unintentional theme on this season of books closed was discussing the business of tattooing.

After talking to tattooers who have tattoo businesses on top of their day-to-day ink slinging,

tattooers with non-tattoo businesses, and also non-tattoers with tattoo businesses who feel

they've identified a hole in the business that they can fill.

I feel that I've really exhausted this topic. Until now.

I came across someone who fits into a category all his own.

A tattooer who has a tattoo business modeled after a non-tattoo business.
