In Germany, Volkswagen has lowered the ID3 price to match the same as the combustion equivalent golf,

lowering it by €3,000 for the entry-level ID3 hatchback.

Now, an update to the German story of Tesla and the German factory workers who are taking more sick leave than the rest of the industry.

And the head of the plant at Tesla's Gigafactory in Germany has had to come out and defend their

method of senior managers turning up at employees' houses and banging on the doors to find out if

they really are sick, the HR manager saying that a 17% sick rate in August 2023 is three times the average

for the German automotive industry and they want to know why people aren't turning up to work.

Interesting. GM's Q3 numbers are out and they're really, really good for electric vehicles.

Third quarter sales data shows a rebound in EV production.

In Q3, GM sold 32,195 EVs, 60% up on the same quarter last year, 46% up on the previous quarter,

and models like the Chevrolete Equinox, the Blazer, the Cadillac GMC brands, the Lyric, all doing really well.

That's great news.
