Episode 5 series to George Ezra and friends the podcast. Here we are with my guest this

week, Oli Alexander. I think this was the first episode that I recorded for this series.

Oli kindly came and met me at a hotel here in London. I think he'd been recording some

vocals first thing that morning and yeah I loved this one because if I'm honest and I mentioned

this to Oli in the episode, myself and years and years we were releasing our first albums at early

recordings and everything at the same time and as a result it meant that although I knew the music

of years and years I knew very little about them simply because I'd be in my own bubble

so it was really fascinating for me to sit down and learn more about the band and how they came to

be. I really enjoyed that so Oli thank you very much for your time. I should say at the half-time

break hold tight we will hear a word from our partners over at Mind Charity and as always there may be

Where have you come from? Hackney. Well actually no I was just in um

Kenzoel Rise because I was just recording some like acoustic thing. This morning? Yeah I know

there's actually the only time that I'll produce like because we like half did it before Christmas

then stopped it's like no not sorry not before Christmas well like a month ago and then we

stopped and we like forgot to do the vocal and I'll produce this so busy and he was just like I can

only do it Monday morning at 11 a.m. and I'll say okay. I'm happy then. So when I um I don't know

there's been different for each guest but I know we like sit down and do a load of research.

Yeah it depends though like a lot of them I haven't because I've wanted to find out more or I'm

kind of know what the what the intimate has to offer if that's like what they've done before.
