Welcome back to the quote of the day show. It is fan Friday where I feature a talk submitted by one of our loyal listeners.

And I will see what I can do. Today's feature speaker is off top Sabir. This is a very short talk. It's probably about three minutes or so.

But it's a fantastic reminder of how important our health is. We can be super successful. We can have major impact in the world.

We can just do significant things in the world, but if we don't have our health, it's just not as fun.

I'm going to talk today about health and wellness. And I believe very strongly that healthy person,

these healthy families, healthy families, give us vibrant communities, vibrant communities,

give us great cities. Like Calgary, one of my great loves my hometown.

On June 30, 2011, my father lost his life to complications from pancreatic cancer.

My mom is a double mastectomy, a breast cancer survivor. And I've got plenty of diabetes type two and hard to these sprinkled throughout my family history.

So I've got a lot of the best interest in understanding, learning, and reflecting on health, wellness, and longevity and quality of life issues.

So I'm pleased to say that I've been helped along the path by some influential TED talks.

Dean, Dr. Dean Ornish, Dan, butiner of Blue Zones fame, Stephen Ritz, and of course the amazing Bill Stricland.

But I've also been influenced heavily by a French gastronome whose name I'm going to miss for now.
