The Philadelphia Eagles went out and got Jaylon Phillips, a guy and edge player who the Lions had been mentioned as one of the teams having shown interest in the former Dolphins edge player.

I think they gave a third round pit for it.

That was one of the moves the

Eagles made to fortify their ranks. That in the aftermath of the Darius Smith's retirement,

a move that the Lions made at the deadline last year. It was a move of necessity, kind of one of those

mid-tier moves, kind of a, you know, not quite an earth-shattering move, but one that you made to say, hey, we're going to give it a shot with Aiden Hutchinson down.

I think they need to be a little more aggressive this year than that.

You want to go for it?

You want to make a real serious run.

Then I think you got to be willing to give up what the Eagles get.

Like at least a third round pick.
