I think there were ads on the boards back then, but the ice was definitely black and white.

Man, Blades of Steel was hot back then.

Do you know I learned hockey from Blades of Steel?

So you learned big guys beat little guys in fights?

Hey, man, that's where I learned hockey from.

I mean, I watched some hockey back in the days of Peter Clema and Bob Probert when they played with Steve Eisen, but I didn't really understand it until Blades of Steel.

That's how I learned, like, some of the rules.

I didn't really know what icing was until Blades of Steel.

Youngblood was a movie for me back in the mid-80s.
