one in the books, the Lions did what the Lions had to do. If I'm going to talk for weeks,

months on end about what they need to do in the NFL draft,

then I need to give them credit when they do it, Ira.

So this is, don't overthink this.

Your biggest need is the offensive line, period.

Don't be distracted.

Don't allow your judgment to be clouded.

You need a guy that can come in and be ready day one to hop on your offensive line and help make it better.

The lion's accomplished just that.

And they accomplished it without moving up.

Now, if you remember, I want to give a shout out to CBS sports, not just because they're our parent company over 24-7 sports, but their last mock draft that we referenced on this show had Caden Proctor, Alabama, going at number 12.

And they had the Lions trading up to number 12 to get Caden Proctor.

Guess what Caden Proctor went?

Number 12 to the, I think, Miami Dolphins, right?

And so, wow, you know, that's pretty spot on, but it was tapping into a couple of things. Number one, that this was a clear need

consensus across the board for the Detroit lines and everyone really seemed to understand

and that you were going to have a run on tackles. And so there might be some urgency

if your guy was higher. You better go up and get them there. Would there be some guys

left? Sure. But to go up and get your guy or to go get your guy, you might have to go up to get him. Well, Spencer Panano is the first tackle off the board at 9. And then I think the Francis M. I don't know how you say his name. I think he was the second guy off the board and then Proctor at 12. To make you feel better, Sam, that's how I pronounce his name too. Yeah. So Brad Hope's kind of talked about this. He said, you know, we saw as the board was falling. And Ty Simpson, the quarterback, gets drafted by the ramp. That helped a lot. And so he sees that and he's like, man, the guy we really like, I think he's still going to be on the board at 17. Yeah, because you know, because they know, I think everybody in the league knew what the Ravens were doing at 14. I think that might have been the most outside of Mendoza at 1. And all the mock drafts, the most consensus pick was Ione at 14 to the Raven. So you knew that that's going to happen. And now there's only two more picks to go. And there's two, probably, it sounded like, because it sounded like they also like freely, but they really like who they got. And so, but if there's two guys left with three picks to go, yeah, you're feeling better. Holmes did say he was worried about right at the end about getting jump,

kind of like the Steelers got jump from Mackay Lemon. He was worried about it right at the end
