| 0:00.0 | I didn't want to talk over it. |
| 0:01.8 | Let's just get you ready for football. |
| 0:03.6 | Here's a guy. Let's get you ready for football. He's a guy that, you know, he's not Patrick Mahones, but he can make a... He's a pretty good. He's a pretty good guy. This guy is not patching Mahomes. NFL schedule release day yesterday. It's supposed to be out the TV show. |
| 0:21.0 | We talk on this show, on this show, all the time about how the NFL prints money, right? |
| 0:26.0 | And they have created this amazing 12-month cycle where they can control the sports narrative. |
| 0:33.8 | Even if it's only for a day or two, but they can do it every single month. Right. It's remarkable. Obviously, in season, they dominate the conversation, but even out of season, I remember when Colin Coward years ago, you used to have his ESPN radio show. He used to do the daily football fix. This is, you know, 20 years ago. He used to do, like, the daily football fix. And it was because he's like, and, you know, in June or May or whatever. And he's like, because you talk, you took football every day. Now, it's not even a bit. You just talk football all the time because it's a year-round thing. The NFL is a big reason why, because they created these events. And so the NFL schedule released, which used to be in April, I think you used to actually get the schedule before the draft. Now they did it in May. They moved it to May. Why did they move it to May? Because the draft is in April. And they wanted an event in May. And they can turn it into this huge, you know, another TV show, essentially. Now, it's supposed to be about the TV show, Ms. |
| 1:28.0 | But it's really less I feel about the TV show and more about social media teams for each of the 32 NFL teams. |
| 1:34.0 | It's like a competition. |
| 1:35.5 | It's who can have the best reveal video from their social media team. |
| 1:40.6 | Yeah, they spend months. |
| 1:42.1 | Yeah. |
| 1:42.5 | Like literally, these social media teams will spend months coming, like in season, they're already talking about what will we do for the schedule release? Like months to try to bring these ideas to life. It's truly, my guess is there is some sort of a competition amongst the social media direction. Now, not everybody necessarily cares. They got to. You got to fit the theme of your team, |
| 2:02.7 | et cetera. |
| 2:03.9 | It's a chance to have fun. |
| 2:06.2 | It's a chance to be creative. |
| 2:08.1 | It's a chance to, you know, hit at your rivals if you want. |
| 2:11.6 | Maybe take cheap shots at other people that are on your schedule. |
| 2:14.1 | Maybe chargers. |
| 2:15.1 | I don't know if the charges taking cheap shots. |
| 2:17.2 | They're really good at that. One of my favorites was the Colts. And I don't like the Colts. I don't usually praise the Colts for anything, but the Colts did the Simpsons edition. Simpsons did it. And they took months. So I actually read an article, I think, was it front office sports thing, wrote it up, months of planning. And then they had to work with Disney to get the rights to do it. Otherwise, it was going to get pulled. Yep. Because they had an issue. The chart, it was the, I think it was the Colts last year had issue with the rights to what they ended up doing. I can remember what they mimicked, but they didn't have the rights to do it. And it ended up getting pulled. And apparently also in it, they had too much Tyree Kill, which is why Bart Simpson wrote there will be no Tyree Kill in this video. You know, I was wondering why that whole thing came about. So apparently there was a lot of Tyree Kill in the, in the, in their, whatever that was last, I don't remember what it was, but apparently in the write-up that I, so they went to Disney, they worked with them about, you know, to take a bunch of Simpsons clips and then also to adapt, you know, and make some clips that look Simpsons like to adapt it to the Colts. I really liked theirs. |
| 3:25.4 | I thought theirs was really cool. |
| 3:29.2 | The Chargers, they did a Halo-themed release. |
