Welcome back to the Michigan Insider here on the Big 1050WTKA online at the big 1050.com. Just take a few moments to take a few moments here to celebrate the weekend overall. It's just a really fun weekend. The weather's starting to turn a little bit. Obviously yesterday by the time we got to the middle, the middle of the day, it was a little windy, but it got really nice. It was warm out. The weather's turning. Spring is about to, the spring is spring. Let's put it that way. Spring is springing here in southeast Michigan. And obviously the weekend got off to a great start. Had a couple of softball wins, had a couple of baseball wins. But the weekend, for a lot of people, what you were really focusing on got off to a great start on Saturday at 10 a.m.

with the parade.

It was warm enough, decent enough weather.

And it was great to see the basketball team out and about one last time as this collection is together.

Because we know, I mean, college sports, whether it's this era of NIL in the transfer portal or any other era, college teams change every single season.

So to have one last opportunity as a collective, as a group to come together to be able to celebrate what you've been able to accomplish.

And this year, of course, they accomplished a three banner season.

To be able to do that in the style in which they were able to do that on Saturday was great was great. So, yeah, the parade first, you know, starting at 10 a.m. From the president's house down south you, then turning left onto State Street and down to Yostice Arena. And just, again, many different ways. And we'll talk to Scott Bell about this coming up when he joins us around 845, but he articulated this really well.

There were a lot of different ways for Michigan fans over the weekend or on Saturday, multiple different ways for Michigan fans to show their love, support, and appreciation for this basketball team.

I mean, for that matter, in addition to the parade and the celebration, I also saw there were some in the region and, you know, within the southeast Michigan region,

there were some autograph signings over the weekend and other things like that.

Just a lot of different ways to celebrate this basketball team.

But here in town on Saturday, you had the parade followed by the championship celebration.

And the championship celebration at the Chrysler Center.

It was exactly what you would expect, right?

It was a little over an hour of a lot of talking, a lot of fun conversation.

Brian Bush did a great job emceeing the events.

Zach Linfield did a, Linfeld did a great job helping out as well.

And, of course, the band being there gives it that a little extra flavor, a little extra

color in the, in the, you know,

for the, for the event.

It was for the most part as an event, it was not, you know, it was a pretty, you know, it was a pretty non-newsworthy event until we got late in the program.
