So one other sporting event happened over the weekend, haven't discussed yet.

Used to be one of the most popular sporting events of the year and maybe its interest is coming back.

The Kentucky Derby was really, really muddy on Saturday.

Maybe that was part of the interest.

There was so much rain.

The track was in a ridiculous condition and makes for such a sloppy but entertaining race.

The NBC Sports drew its most watched Kentucky Derby audience since 1989.

And we've had some Triple Crown winners that obviously started their Triple Crown runs in that window of time at the Kentucky Derby.

But what do you have?

21, 22 horses, whatever it was.

So So Sovereign gets the victory.

It was over the favorite journalism.

The average audience was 17.7 million viewers on NBC and Peacock, which is up 6% from last year.

The audience peaked at 21.8 million viewers, which is the best in NBC's 25-year history of televising the Kentucky Derby, the run for the roses.

I don't know what sparked the interest to make the number that high, but the number

was that high.

And a couple of things about the Derby, first of all.

And I know, like we obviously, we do a three-hour pregame show for a three-plus hour

football game, and we do that every single week of the football season.

And we have a lot of fun doing it, And there's a lot of football to talk about.

And we even talk about football beyond what's going on in Ann Arbor
