So the Tigers win last night, second straight win after they had lost a bunch of games in a row and had that Schneide. They were on that skid since, what, July 9th, I believe. They had lost like 12 or 13. They lost six in a row. So they now won back-to-back games. But they didn't start great when it came to Tigers news because it was announced that

Reese Olson has a shoulder strain.

He's going to be placed on the 60-day injured list and sounds like he's done for the year.

And that is unfortunate.

So the Tigers then in that window of time that we heard the news about Reese Olson,

we also heard the news that the Tigers made a trade with the Minnesota Twins,

trading away catcher first basement, Enrique Jimenez to the Twins in exchange for Chris Paddock

and Randy Dobnack, a couple of pitchers who are really not the answer.

But for Paddock, he's basically coming in.

It seems like to take that spot as the fifth starter from Reese Olson.

This year, he's 495 ERA.

He's 3 and 9.

So he's in that window of some very, probably some similar numbers to Reese Olson.

And then tigers probably figure they can get maybe a hair more out of him.

But he's got a career 449 ERA.

He's a fifth starter kind of guy.

And we talked about this in the show yesterday, what type moves to the Tigers make?

And I said they may more or less stand pat.

This is a more or less stand pat kind of move.

This is not one of those moves that really pushes the needle for the squad.

Because if you look at Dobnack, his numbers are no better.
