hey there podcast listeners we're at the 2013 Follow the Light Awards ceremony.

50 surf photographers have submitted their work for a chance to win a grant and important industry connections.

The winner will be chosen tonight.

The evening is hosted by Aaron Chang.

The Follow the Light Awards is about giving an aspiring photographer a boost up in the industry,

giving him a grant that he can use to further his career.

And it's really been a privilege to work with all these photographers.

Every year it seems to get better and better.

It seems like it's going to snap at some point, but the tension is still ratcheting.

So I'd like you to invite these finalists up on the stage with me.

This year's finalists are Seth DeRole.

Aaron introduces the five finalists and they join him on stage to discuss their work.

The foundation was started to pay homage to legendary Southern California surf photographer

Larry Flame Moore. His sister Celeste now runs the foundation. Here's more from Celeste.

Fall of Life Foundation is an organization that was started by the Moore family after

Larry McMore passed away from brain cancer. And it was our desire to carry out his wish of carrying the torch.
