I opened the show with an amazing, an amazing stat, an amazing basketball stat that

Saravid Meeter put out on social media yesterday.

That Michigan was 163 games under 500 is a program when KBA took over.

They're now two games below 500 and with three wins, they'll be an above 500 program. Just absolutely remarkable what she's done in 14 seasons. So I opened the show with a great basketball stat that was about our women's basketball team here in Ann Arbor. Again, shout out to Sarah for posting that because that just blew my mind yesterday. Remarkable stat. But I have another crazy stat for you. This one's actually another basketball stat, but this one's a piston stat that's actually pretty nuts. But before I get to it, or it's not just that it's a stat, it's the company that this player is in. Remarkable. But before I can get to that, just a moment. The NBA playing tournament obviously gets underway this evening.

And you have a little bit of perspective because when the, I remember a couple of years ago when the Pistons were awful.

And we were talking about, you know, getting healthy and what steps they can take to, you know, as a franchise to move forward.

And so it was go from, you know, being awful to can you know, add through the draft, etc. Can you get to the play in tournament and start kind of that as your first goal? And then go from there to being in the field. and then, you know, going from there and building on your franchise, you know, building year to year and taking a few years and getting up to where you're one of the better teams in the NBA.

Well, they obviously jumped right over that, right?

They cleared that because they went from the dreadful season just a couple of years ago to a pretty darn good season last year.

They skipped over the playing tournament, never participated in that.

And then they obviously were right in the Eastern Conference playoffs last year. And this year, they're the number one seat. They're waiting for the eighth seed to finally who they're playing. And they won't even know until what Friday night who they're playing? The playing tournament's got to play itself out. And then eventually, now when you get the Friday night, you'll have the eighth seed that the Pissons will be playing starting Sunday at Little Cesar's Arena. But just a little perspective because Pissons never went through this step, right? They never had to feel like the heat are in the playing game a lot, the playing tournament a lot. And here they are playing tonight at the Charlotte Hornets at 730 in the east. You have Portland at Phoenix at 10 o'clock out west. And so you have the beginning of the playing tournament.

And as this progresses through the course of this week with the play in tournament,

the Pistons on Friday night will find out who they play on Sunday.

So here's the stat.

Only two players in NBA history have ever averaged 19 points per game while shooting 65% from the field for the season.

Okay, so only two players have ever had averaged at least 19 points per game while shooting

at least 65% from the field.

The first one happened back in 1966-67, and that was Wilts Chamberlain.

The second one happened this season, 2025- 2026 season, Jalen Duren.

It's a remarkable stat.

It's remarkable company.
