The only thing missing in round one of the NFL draft last night was a little maize and blue representation. We're expecting some of that maybe tonight. Derek Moore, J. Sean Barham, a couple of defensive players that are likely to be Michigan's first players off the board and quite a good possibility. They're off the board tonight. in round one you had 10 big 10 players taken seven from the SEC

six each from the SEC,

six each from the ACC and the Big 12, two from Notre Dame and one from the Mountain West Conference.

It's actually pretty remarkable.

The two from Notre Dame, both running backs.

And what is it like the first time?

It's some remarkable stat about running backs being,

the first two running backs being out the board from the same program

never happens.

And the fact is that only two running backs were taken,

only two Notre Dame players are taken,

and it's the same guys.

But on the, you look at the top of that board,

Big Ten, Ten, SEC 7.

The Big 10 wins three straight national championships in football.

They're winning national championship now in basketball.

The Big Ten is starting to dominate.

They're starting to really take over.

The numbers really reflect that in the, at least in the first round of the draft, because

one of the numbers that SEC Homer's always point to when they talk

about how it just means more and how it's just got more dominant and it's just a better conference
