Welcome back to the Michigan Insider on the Big 1050 WTCA online at the Big 1050.com. Michigan beats Purdue 9080 last night at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Indiana. Huge win for the number one ranked Michigan Wolverines. They were led by Ellie Cadoh, who you heard from along with Yaxa Lenderborg and Dusty May in the last segment. But right now we're going to hear from the other side. We want to hear from Matt Payton. and we want to hear what Peyton had to say after the game.

Obviously, a team that's earned the number one ranking in the country playing as well as anybody this is uh

your biggest test of the season i guess right yeah um you know obviously when you're dealing with

an elite offense elite defense but also a team that can play multiple ways so it's not like they

just you know have their starting five and that's it.

You know, they'll finish games with different guys that come off the bench.

And that's what great teams have, right?

They have more than five starters.

So it's, they have speed, they have athleticism, they have the ability to break you down

off the dribble from a lot of different people. Their skill level, great rebounding team, best defensive team in the country,

then just a lot of different ways to get you from an offensive standpoint. If you can't handle

them on the glass and you can't handle them in transition. There's not much hope for you

right there. You have to be able to take care of the ball. You have to be able to rebound the ball,

and you have to keep them out of transition. When they're stealing points like that to go along with

their skill package from their whole team,

it ends up being a long night for the opponent.

Obviously, a very different personnel from Nebraska and Iowa,

but the last couple of games there, what's brought the sort of fight and the physicality back into the front for it?

Yeah, you know, TK has really set the tone for us.
