It is now time for our defender of the game brought to you by the law offices of Joseph

a Simon find Joe at the Michigan Defenders.com.

0:14.6

That's the Michigan Defenders.com.

0:17.8

And it's an easy answer who the defender of the game was.

0:20.4

We're all going to start with the conversation and talk about Jimmy Rolder.

0:23.2

Jimmy Rolder had a phenomenal football game for the Michigan defense on Saturday night.

0:29.8

I'm still trying to figure out where the past breakup is.

0:32.8

He has finished the game with 10 tackles, including two tackles for loss. And one of those two TFLs for Jimmy Rolder was a sack. He had a quarterback hurry in the game. He's not listed with a pass breakup. I don't understand how that's possible because he had that fourth and one, that fourth down stop on the pass. He made the play. Maybe the stats were updated somewhere else that I didn't see, but this is the official box that I'm still on. And maybe it needed, I thought I updated. Anyway, regardless, defensive player at the game, Jimmy Rolter had a phenomenal football game. He made big plays. He recovered a fumble in the first possession. He was making plays in the back field. He was making plays down the field. He was making plays on the sideline. He was making an impact all over the football field. And it's going to be that much more important. Cole Sullivan goes down in the first half with the injury. We don't know the extent of it, but his arm was in a sling. So I just kind of assume that he's going to be at at least a short period of time. And if that's the case, it is a position where you can absorb it the most.

1:29.0

You don't want to lose a player of that skill. Cole Sullivan's had a great season with interceptions and making big plays for the Michigan defense. Don't get me wrong. You don't want to lose anybody, especially someone that's had as much of an impact on the team as he has. but if you have to absorb an injury somewhere for at least a short term and hopefully

1:46.7

it's only short term, you can do it probably at the linebacker position the most because

1:51.9

you've got Jimmy Rolder who's coming off a phenomenal game and he seems like that he's

1:55.6

ascending each and every week.

1:57.3

Ernest Houseman is doing his thing in the middle as he's doing a very good job as the leader

2:03.8

of that defense wearing the green dot.

2:05.8

And he was the second leading tackler in the game for Michigan.

2:08.9

He had eight tackles in the game, including one tackle for loss.

2:12.3

And then for that matter, you also have Troy Bowles, who seems like he's been playing some

2:16.2

decent linebacker and he's got

2:17.5

some athleticism out there. So he's a quality player that you can play at that position to give

2:21.7

you the depth. And of course, if you need to, you can always have J. Sean Barham go back and

2:27.3

play in the middle of the defense at linebacker as well. He's been doing a great job for the
