Now let's hear from the defensive coach that we heard from yesterday.

That is linebackers coach Brian Jean-Marie.

So here is coach BJ right now here on the Michigan Insider on the Big 1050 WTCA.

Brian, what was your position group's biggest adjustment from the USC game to last week?

I thought we tackled better and got off of blocks.

You know, our eyes were better.

I don't think it was just one thing in particular.

I don't think anyone, you know, felt like they played their best,

you know, coming out of that game. And, you know, just as a unit, I thought, you know,

we went out there with us, you know, sole purpose to, you know, play better, obviously. But

individually, I thought they all tackled well and were in better position to make plays,

you know, versus Washington than they were versus USC.

What type of threat does Aidan Chiles present for your group?

I think he's one of the top dual threat quarterbacks that, you know, we'll face this year.

You know, you see, you know, a real athletic, you know, tall, you know, player, you know, with a strong arm.

And the thing that what you, you know, kind of hidden is the plays with most dual threat guys that, you know, don't show up on the stat sheet, but he's able to keep plays alive with his feet, you know, and, you know, able to get rid of the ball, whether it's an incompletion, avoiding the sack or actually throwing it downfield. But like I said, his dual threat ability is, you know, something that, you know, we're very well aware of and we have to do a great job of, you know, not just keeping him in the pocket as a passer, but tackling him

as a runner when they decide to run him on quarterback runs.

Did you do anything or say anything differently to kind of challenge the group after the

USC game?
