Welcome back inside the Inver Studios of the Big 1050 WTKA online at the big 1050.com. It is a Michigan football by week, but we had a chance to catch up with some Michigan football players yesterday. We're going to bring that to you right now. So here, as the Wolverines go through in their improvement week, their by week, before next Saturday's matchup against Northwestern in Chicago, we'll start on the offensive side of the ball with red shirt freshman, offensive lineman Andrew Spray here on the Michigan Insider on the Big 1050 WTKA. I guess how do you feel about where the O-line is right now? I think the O-line has definitely improved a lot as everyone can see since the beginning of the year. I feel like since we're so young, we're just going to keep him better every year. I guess what's, like, lining up alongside all those young players? You honestly don't really even notice it because, I mean, we're all in the same meetings. We all get to talk the same thing, so it's not like you noticed it, but it's been fun playing with my class.

It's going to say, with the three of you, I mean, obviously there's a couple others,

but, you know, last year as true freshman, I guess what was the biggest focus,

or what were you guys trying to do as redshirters to make sure that you could capitalize on it this season?

Last year, honestly, we were more working on our bodies trying to get bigger.

I mean, we all came in a little underweight and all just wanted to get bigger, stronger, so we knew that this year we'd be able to step on the field and fit in and out there.

Is it fair to say the O-line's better right now at run blocking than pass protection?

Based on the film, you could probably say that, but I feel like it really just depends on the game,

who we're going against, and what we do.

Andrew, what does Greg bring to the line as a whole, and what does he do with the line in the scrimmage that is so helpful for everybody else? The thing that Greg does for the line is most importantly, he's a leader for us. I mean, he's a 50-year guy, him and Zio. So, I mean, it's two 50 years and three freshmen out there. So they kind of have to lead us. And also, Greg, I mean, he's the center. in charge of making the points also Greg I mean he's the senator he's in

charge of making the points making the run IDs the past ID so it's been really helpful

having them out there because he knows all this stuff what's his success rate in pointing out

what is going to happen or what do you guys need to do is pretty much on point there oh yes I mean

he has his rules you never the defense can obviously disguise stuff, so they can praise whatever they want, but he has his rules, and he does a good job to follow him. I guess Jake was playing center in Paul Camp. How good is he at doing those things and like um just how's he coming along

and playing in center and if he'd need to do that oh yeah Jake could play center for sure

he knows everything just like Greg does and yeah I think he'll be a great center one day

how was Blake played do you think the last couple weeks stepping up in a bigger role

oh Blake's been doing great, honestly.

I mean, his first two games were two big-time games.

He's been doing great.

There's not been any complaints about Blake or any problems with Blake,

and he's been dominating out there.
