It was a record setting night last night for the Big Ten conference.

Eight Big Ten players were picked in the draft last night.

Eight Big Ten players were taken in the draft last night.

Of course, the Big Ten still can't win an national championship,

but that's a conversation probably for another day. But to open things up last night, as I said, to kind of get things

going, what I found to be really interesting is that look at the schools that are, that the Big Ten

is represented. If you look at the beginning, and you're like, where's Purdue?

Where's Indiana?

Where are those traditional Big Ten schools that you're used to seeing having guys picked in the draft?

Because the first Big Ten school to have players picked, Rutgers.

Sure, that's what you expect.

Rutgers has Dylan Harper go number two to the San Antonio Spurs.

And then they have Ace Bailey going number five to the Utah Jazz.

And we've had this conversation many times over the last many months.

How is it possible that Steve Pichael, who when he has no parts or feels like very few parts,

he coaches his guys up.

But when he has two lottery picks, two top five picks, they can't even make the NCAA tournament.

And I always have pause.

If you look back over the course of the draft, guys taken very high in the draft that

went to college, but did not lead their teams to the NCAA tournament.
