Long night last night with the Michigan softball academy and the first round of the NFL draft, but a little extra pep at the step anyway, because last night was an unbelievable night for the Michigan Softball Academy. We had unbelievable weather. The fundraising was great at the social mixture. We'll get into all that and more coming up here on the show in just a little bit. And then with the NFL draft, that, of course, started right around 8 o'clock. And the Lions made their pick last night, selecting an offensive tackle, making Sam very happy. We'll hear from Brad Holmes. We met with the media last night after round one was done, at least after the Lions were done in round one. I think it was late, late, late, around one that the media availability actually took place. We'll hear from Brad Holmes coming up in a little bit here as well. Unfortunately, no John Eubacon this morning. He is otherwise committed this Friday. Michigan Softball Academy every single year. It just, it amazes me how amazing everybody, I guess

I used to that word twice, but it's absolutely phenomenal how much people get into the event.

You know, every year we raise over $120,000 fluctuates between $120 and $150,000.

We raise a lot of money every year.

We've, we're what, through $2.5 plus million dollars on our way towards raising $3 million total

dollars for the American Cancer Society and making strides against breast

cancer.

It's always an inspirational evening.

First of all, the activities on the field are usually pretty fun.

I had a chance to show off some of the things that I've been learning while helping out with

Gracie's softball team.

For the little bit that I participated yesterday.

I try not to do too much anymore because the order you get the less your body parts are

under warranty and the more likely you are going to get hurt and I don't want to get hurt.

So I limit my deep throws and how many swings I take in the cages.

But get some pitches in, get some throws in, get some swings in, and just get a chance to hang out with the softball team and, of course, all the other participants in the academy. It's a great time out on the field. That was a lot of fun. The home run derby was phenomenal yesterday. We ended up with six participants in the home run derby, and two of them, of course, were Sam Webb, our very own Sam Webb, and then Brandon Inge.

And so the rules in the home run derby, they each got, I guess it ended up being 11 swings.
