This boring introduction gives you a bit of background into Canada and debunks the stereotype of the “nice Canadian”. You'll get to find out why someone with an Aussie accent is producing a Canadian True Crime podcast.

Canada has a reputation for being a peaceful and liberal country with citizens that are nice, polite and friendly.

But dig a little deeper and you'll find that the average Canadian is much more of a stereotype than reality.

Because aside from its Aboriginal population, Canada is essentially a country of immigrants with a diverse cultural and racial mix.

It doesn't just boil those cultures down into a universal melting pot like a pile of brown sludge.

Instead, Canada is more like a cultural mosaic that emphasises the diverse backgrounds and cultures of the people who call the country home.

As with any country or group of people, there are always a mix of temperaments and personalities. People are people.

As for me, I'm one of those Canadian immigrants and Aussie True Crime fanatic.

I've lived in the Greater Toronto area for many years and I'm a proud Canadian citizen.

Although I'm an expert at listening to podcasts, unfortunately for you, I'm a total novice when it comes to producing them.
